FAQs

Is a caregiver required to be with their child throughout the class?
Caregivers stay for the class because it's a learning experience for you, too! You’ll get simple, practical strategies to support your toddler’s communication during play at home.

Who would benefit from this class?
This class is especially supportive for toddlers who are:

  • working on developing their first words, and/or

  • beginning to combine words into simple phrases

Oftentimes, these skills are developed around 12 months- 24 months, but we welcome children of different ages if they are a good fit for the group!

The activities are designed to meet children right where they are.

What if my child is shy, active, or has a short attention span?
That’s totally normal at this age! The class is designed with toddler development in mind- movement, warm-up time, and exploration are all expected.

Can my child participate if they already receive speech therapy?
Absolutely. Group classes can be a wonderful addition to your child’s speech therapy, offering more chances to practice skills in a playful, interactive environment that supports their early intervention goals.

Will there be opportunities to ask the speech therapist questions?
Yes! Caregivers are welcome to ask questions at any point during class, and we always leave the last 5 minutes to recap strategies and chat through any additional questions.
